why do people blog? what do they post?

why do people blog. i got many theories and i want to know if im write
1. like said in previous post, lonelyness
2. a desire of someone to care or take notice
3. pure boredom

what do people normally post here? i noticed some people do pictures but why not do face book or my space or what ever kids these days do? but then i guess this is why there are less young people on this? because they are other... what would i call it.. community-esk web sites that are more up to date. now i not saying this is old but it has definitely been around for quite some time.so rather then rant some more lets see if any one can even see this

First day!

hmm first day having a blog... you know ive always wondered why people make Blogs, why do they seem so popular among that of the (no offence) but older ish group by older i mean not 17 and younger... why make a blog? i suppose its reasons are for those who make it... maybe lonelyness? a wanting to be noticed or someone to care enough to read over what they write? or maybe like me simple boredom. ironically enough ive never read a blog nor have do i generally what people put on it or how you view someone elses or if any one can really read this one or whatever but i guess ill find out, im sure if someone reads this they will post if not well i guess its journal or something for me either way is fine i suppose
